Over the last 7 years, film production has encompassed a huge portion of my work life.
In 2012, I traveled to Madagascar to work for many long months on a production shot for IMAX with a seasoned crew. In a country with little to no infrastructure we carried with us a few tons of equipment, a cinebule ( hot air balloon to film from), a prototype large format camera (specifically made for the project) and an indispensable Malagasy crew who pulled the beast through to the end.
Separate to the movie, I was able to snap a few personal pictures of some Lemurs…
Company… one morning through my bedroom.
Island of Lemurs ~ Madagascar will open in IMAX theatres worldwide in April 2014.
