Once in a while I get a perfect commission from a client who has unwavering faith in my vision. They handed me a blank canvas and this series came out of it.
Inspired by the beauty that surrounded us on Lake Naivasha, it became apparent that the trees made the perfect environment to absorb a human body. My model’s quiet confidence made it easy for her to become the environment, rather than to pair with it. When the Owl stood on her shoulder, there was peace. When Souk, our Augur Buzzard flew off, she calmly waited for her to return to her arm.
